Now that the Studio is launched and running smoothly, we're looking for Associate Product Designers to create digital product collections with the beautifully simple modern style that sets us apart.

Each Associate Product Designer will contribute one coordinated product collection per month, which will include at least six sheets of patterned digital paper and coordinating page accessories.

In the Boutique, you'll see that Patterned Digital Papers generally fall into six style categories, and Associates' product designs will likely fall into these styles. To get your creative juices flowing, I'm including some inspiration sources just for fun:

Dots and Stripes. Think Pottery Barn Kids and Teens … crisp, timeless, fresh, often in classic colors and white with contrasting accessories.

Geometrics. Bold, basic shapes and sophisticated colors. Walk through IKEA and notice their striking Scandinavian textiles ... sometimes precise, sometimes freeform.

Letterpress. Simple, streamlined, airy and often whimsical. Search Google Images for "letterpress cards" for the latest in this hip design niche.

Organics. Earthy motifs, probably hand-drawn with pen and ink, scanned and interpreted in natural colors. Our Associate Product Designer Carolee Romney penned the backgrounds and botannicals in the Boutique.

Textiles. Traditional patterns such as paisley, damask, toile and killim, often with a modern twist. You might start with inspiration from a Pottery Barn fabric ... and interpret it in whole new way.

Seasonal: Digital papers for themed projects with a modern look. Gift wraps from Crate and Barrel and The Container Store always have delightfully fresh takes on seasonal themes.

Interested? Email me at nan@nanscottdesignstudio.com, and include a sample of your work and/or your great design ideas. I will get back to you right away with technical specifications and commission detail.

I will be accepting applications for Associate Product Designers on an ongoing basis, but plan to have several designers onboard by October 1, 2010. Download a Fact Sheet for complete details.

I'll look forward to hearing from you!
